CBS Sports today announced the match analysts and on-site reporters for its coverage of the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, beginning this week.
Jermaine Jenas, Jim Beglin and Rob Green have been named match analysts for CBS Sports’ coverage across multiple ViacomCBS platforms, with every match on CBS All Access and select matches on CBS Sports Network.
Jenas will work alongside play-by-play announcer Clive Tyldesley for three matches, including the UEFA Champions League Final, with Green handling the other two matches with Tyldesley. Beglin will team with play-by-play announcer Peter Drury for five matches, including the UEFA Europa League Final.
Seema Jaswal, Julien Laurens, Guillem Balague and Raphael Honigstein have been named reporters for the live match coverage and will provide on-site updates and interviews for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 matches, with Jaswal in Manchester, Laurens in Torino, Balague in Barcelona, and Honigstein in Munich.
“From the beginning, we knew there needed to be authenticity to our coverage,” said Pete Radovich, Coordinating Producer of UEFA, CBS Sports. “We are excited to pair Clive and Peter, two first-class announcers, with three strong analysts in Jermaine, Jim and Rob, who all have playing experience at the top levels of European soccer, and our expert group of on-site reporters will round out our live match coverage.”

As previously announced, ViacomCBS’ coverage of the 2019-2020 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League begins this week with the remaining Round of 16 matches, followed by the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final in a straight knockout tournament, and will span multiple ViacomCBS platforms, including every match on CBS All Access and select matches on CBS Sports Network.
Pete Radovich, CBS Sports’ Senior Creative Director, will be the Coordinating Producer for UEFA coverage. He is a 37-time Emmy Award winner, including two “Outstanding Studio Show” wins for Inside The NFL where he has served as the Coordinating Producer for the past 12 years. Harold Bryant is Executive Producer and Senior Vice President, Production, CBS Sports.

GUILLEM BALAGUE: Balague is a football author, journalist & presenter who works regularly for BBC Radio 5 Live, LaLiga TV and Spanish newspaper Sport. He covered Spanish football for Sky Sports for more than 20 years.
JIM BEGLIN: Beglin was a member of Liverpool’s 1985-86 Double winning team, which won the First Division title and the FA Cup, and was a UEFA Champions League runner-up with Liverpool in 1985. He represented the Republic of Ireland in international competition. A highly-respected analyst, Beglin has worked for BT Sport, NBC Sports, ITV and RTE.
ROB GREEN: Green was a goalkeeper in the English Premier League, including stints with Norwich City, West Ham United and Queens Park Rangers, and represented England in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2012 UEFA European Football Championship. Green, who retired in 2019, has done work for Premier League Productions and BBC Radio 5 Live.
RAPHAEL HONIGSTEIN: Munich-born Honigstein is a journalist and author who has lived in London since 1993. He writes about German football and the Premier League for The Athletic and contributes to SPIEGEL Sport, BT Sport, The Totally Football Show and more.
SEEMA JASWAL: Jaswal is a British television and radio presenter. She hosts the Premier League’s worldwide coverage for Premier League Productions, and was part of ITV’s World Cup 2018 coverage from Russia.
JERMAINE JENAS: Jenas spent most of his playing career in the English Premier League, primarily with Tottenham and Newcastle United. He also played for England and was a member of the 2006 FIFA World Cup squad. He has served as an analyst for ITV Sport, BT Sport and the BBC.
JULIEN LAURENS: Laurens is a French football journalist based in London. Laurens regularly contributes to ESPN, BT Sport, RMC Sport, The Totally Football Show and BBC Radio 5 Live.
