A quick turnaround after a slate of midweek fixtures keeps the Premier League train rolling along.
The Merseyside Derby, Manchester United-Arsenal and a draw between West Ham and Brighton highlighted the midweek action.
This weekend, league-leaders Chelsea play West Ham in a game with title and top-four implications. Currently, Chelsea leads the Premier League after 14 games. Despite their lead, Thomas Tuchel’s side looks relatively vulnerable, with three wins and two draws in their last five. Solid performances, certainly. However, wins are paramount for the title.
That is why Manchester City and Liverpool, riding four- and three-game win streaks, respectively, are hot on Chelsea’s tail. On Saturday, Manchester City travels to Vicarage Road to play Watford. On the other hand, Liverpool looks for its fourth win on the bounce at Molineux against Watford.
Manchester United, now under the oversight of Ralf Rangnick, looks to build on its 3-2 win over Arsenal on Thursday. The club sits seventh, just three points outside of a Champions League spot. The Red Devils play Crystal Palace on Sunday Morning.
Arsenal, one of the hottest teams over the last couple of months, plays a key game against Everton at Goodison Park on Monday. Arsenal, despite a slow start to the season, is fighting for a spot in the Champions League as we approach the new year.
The games this weekend are fairly spread out. There are three games each in the 10 a.m. Saturday window and the Sunday 9 a.m. window. Goal Rush, the whip-around coverage of all games at one time takes place in that Saturday at 10 a.m. window.
Per usual, Premier League Mornings and Premier League Live gets you set before each game this weekend. Concluding each day’s action, Goal Zone wraps up the scores and events from throughout the day.
