Liverpool’s 2-0 victory over Manchester United on Sunday was the second Premier League match of 2020 to surpass one million viewers, drawing a combined 1.202 million across NBCSN and Telemundo. Telemundo’s 382,000 viewers is the most that have watched a match on the network since Liverpool met Manchester City in November 2019.
The Premier League’s second match on NBC of 2020 averaged 843,000 viewers, down nearly 30% from a week prior, but still above average for the network this season. After 20 broadcasts, the Premier League on NBC is averaging 801,750 viewers per match.
LaLiga viewership peaked at just over 291,000 this past week when Barcelona hosted Granada, down a slight 4% from the league’s peak viewership earlier this month when Barcelona traveled to Espanyol.
AC Milan’s late win against Udinese was watched by 76,000 viewers on ESPN2, the first Serie A match we have found data for in months. The highest recorded audience for Serie A available to us was 246,000 viewers for a match featuring Roma and Juventus in May 2019 that averaged 246,000 viewers.
