No beIN SPORTS on DIRECTV or Comcast? No problem. Watch el Clásico

With beIN SPORTS no longer available on DIRECTV, Comcast Xfinity or DIRECTV NOW, the number of choices available to watch this Sunday’s el Clásico has been reduced for soccer fans in the United States.

As of press time, there have been zero updates about the situation between beIN SPORTS, DIRECTV and Comcast since our interview with a beIN SPORTS executive in September.

At this stage, it looks very unlikely that a deal will be struck between beIN SPORTS and DIRECTV anytime soon. And it appears even less likely that beIN SPORTS will return to Comcast anywhere in the near future.

According to World Soccer Talk reader JP, “[It] doesn’t look good. All week while hosting The Xtra or The Locker Room, Kevin Egan and Kay Murray have been urging viewers to tell friends to switch from Xfinity and Direct TV if they want to watch El Clásico. Kevin even goes so far as to personally say he switched to Sling. [It] has to be a sign [that] negotiations are over.”

Having said that, there are still many viable alternatives for consumers in the United States so you can continue watching beIN SPORTS, LaLiga, Ligue 1 and more with no interruptions.

Here are several to consider:

1) DISH Network. When it comes to watching soccer via satellite, both DIRECTV and DISH are very competitive. But with DIRECTV dropping beIN SPORTS, DISH is now a viable alternative to switch to.

DISH is currently featuring a special offer where you can save $50 on all new activations. Or you can get free premium channels for three months. If you prefer to sign up for DISH via telephone, their phone number is US 855-389-9730.

Here are all of the soccer-related channels that DISH offers.

2) Sling TV. With Sling TV, you can add the Best of Spanish TV package to include beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Espanol so you can watch as much LaLiga soccer as you want.

You can stream Sling TV on your Windows 7 & higher, Apple computers (Lion 10.7 & higher), Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire tablet (running Android 4.4.2+), Roku, Android TV, ZTE, Channel Master, Apple iOS 8 (& higher) phones & tablets, Android 4.0.3 (and higher) phones & tablets and Xbox One. You can also stream it to your TV.

Sling TV has a 7-day free trial.

3) fuboTV. Just like Sling TV, you can access beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Espanol on fuboTV. But the advantage of fuboTV is that they have all of the beIN SPORTS Connect channels integrated directly into the app, so it makes it easier than ever to access every single LaLiga match this season.

fuboTV offers a free 7-day trial.

In the United States, Sunday’s Barcelona vs. Real Madrid kicks off at 11am ET on beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Espanol. Don’t miss it!
